What Are FMM & EFI Locks?
Find My Mac (FMM) ties a Mac to an Apple ID at the firmware level. When active, the Mac cannot be set up or used without the original owner's credentials — even after a full erase. Our service clears the FMM lock at the firmware level, restoring full access without the original Apple ID.
EFI Password Lock is a firmware-level password set in the Mac's UEFI/EFI layer. It prevents booting from any drive other than the designated startup disk, and blocks Recovery Mode access. Forgetting this password can leave a Mac completely inaccessible.
